If you are approaching 65 years of age, and are drawing Social Security, enrollment into Medicare part A and B will be automatic.  Your new medicare card will be mailed out approximately three months before the first day of the month of your 65th birthday.
 
If you qualify for social security disability, and have been receiving disability benefits for two years you will be approved automatically.
 

How to Enroll

There are two ways to enroll into Medicare A and B once your Medicare Eligibility has been confirmed. 

  1.  Calling the local social security office and enroll over the phone.
  2.  Complete an enrollment online by going to ssa.gov/medicare.

Medicaid in Arizona consists of three different level determination:  QMB, SLMB, and QI-1.
 
Each of these would reduce the cost of prescription drugs and pay your medicare part B premium.   If you qualify for QMB you will be able to get full cost sharing for your medicare out of pocket co-pays and deductibles.
